"Allegany County NAACP Branch 7007 would like to invite you to attend the 2023 Voice of Freedom Awards and Black History Month Gala. Join us as we honor those in and around the Western Maryland region who use their voices to make significant contributions to the community. Six leaders from the area were selected to receive awards, and will be recognized in the categories of Community Outreach, Political Action, Education, Business, Mentorship and Historical Preservation. The evening includes a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. Big Chuck will be your host for the event, and NAACP 7007 member DJ Sid Thomas will provide the music.
