About Golden Acre Homestead

Golden Acre Homestead: Growing Resilience,
One Acre Under God.

Located in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Golden Acre Homestead is a Veteran-led, non-profit community resilience hub. We believe that you don't need a massive farm to make a massive difference. We operate on a single residential acre, proving that with military precision, corporate efficiency, and faith, we can feed and protect our neighborhood.

We serve our community through four distinct programs, providing all services 100% free of charge to those in need:

1. Hospitality & Fellowship: We are rebuilding neighborhood connections through intentional front-yard gatherings and open gates. We believe the first step to community resilience is simply knowing the people who live next door to you.

2. Environmental Stewardship (Lilies of the Field): We act as caretakers of Creation. From zero-waste permaculture and community compost to our rainwater retention systems, we teach the community how to live sustainably and heal the dirt under our feet.

3. Nutritional Support (The Daily Manna): We combat food insecurity by providing fresh, organic eggs and produce to local families. Our heritage-breed flock and community gardens turn a suburban lot into a source of sustenance.

4. Service & Safety (SafePath & Heirloom Support): We protect our most vulnerable neighbors—specifically seniors and the mobility-impaired—by providing free snow removal in the winter, yard cleanup in spring and fall, and skilled woodshop repairs year-round. We ensure that our elders can age in place safely without the fear of being trapped by a Wisconsin winter.

Meet the Team

  • Dave Fritzke (Founder & President): A U.S. Navy Veteran and former IT Executive who traded silicon for soil. He’s the guy with the shovel, the architectural blueprints, and the muddy boots.

  • Goldie (Chief Morale Officer): Dave's task-trained Service Dog (Golden Retriever). She supervises all tractor operations, assumes every chicken is a tiny feathery puppy, and ensures no cheese goes uneaten.

  • Maxx (Head of Security): Obsessive, dedicated, and possibly excessive (German Shepherd). Maxx conducts daily, military-grade threat assessments of the perimeter to keep the homestead safe from our greatest adversary: the local squirrel population.
