Nourishing Hope: Filling the Gaps in Wellness

At the GA Bello Foundation for Wellness, we believe no one should face illness or hardship alone. Too often, the everyday needs of vulnerable individuals are overlooked by larger systems. That’s where we stand in the gap.

As an organization led by Social Workers with more than 20 years of experience, we have seen how dialysis patients and others living with chronic illness often go without the resources that support both health and dignity, especially during the holidays, when financial strain and isolation feel even heavier.

This holiday season, Nourishing Hope will provide gift cards so patients can purchase renal-safe groceries of their choosing, giving them the freedom to prepare meals that are both safe and joyful. It’s a way to restore independence, dignity, and holiday cheer to neighbors who are too often forgotten.

With your support, we can:

• Place $50 holiday gift cards directly in the hands of 200 dialysis patients in South DeKalb.

• Ensure patients have access to fresh, kidney-friendly foods rather than high-sodium, shelf-stable items that often worsen their condition.

• Deliver a gesture of compassion and recognition that reminds patients they are not invisible during this season of giving.
