Due to the formula shortage, the number of families requesting donor milk has increased 89% in just a few short days. In addition, the number of families requesting financial assistance (via the Medical Relief Fund) from The Milk Bank has increased 200%.

What's donor milk? It's breast milk donated by generous moms. Just like blood banking, donor milk is a living tissue used to combat life-threatening illnesses. The Milk Bank processed, pasteurized, and bottled over 400,000 ounces of milk for babies across 25 states in 2021. This work was possible through the dedication of over 800 milk donors! While not everyone can donate milk, everyone can support families through Give An Ounce!
