In 2014, I founded Grow a Strong Family, a nonprofit, based on my need to find the resources and materials to guide our family through the rocky terrain of serious mental illness/serious brain disease. I have the professional experience through having worked in community programs with the seriously mentally ill, their families, and mentoring other professionals. I have the personal experience of many first-degree family members living with mood disorders, serious brain diseases, physical illnesses, and then my beloved daughter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

When you donate, one time or monthly, you help all those who have family or friends with serious mental illnesses/brain diseases. They seek to improve their relationships and integrate their loved ones back into the family system. Families, friends, and everyone who is impacted by a person with a serious brain disease/mental illness now has new skills and strategies to acquire which are available 24/7 through our web-based sites. This allows supporters to access the pages they need when they need them!
