What if the very people the world forgets are the ones Jesus calls us to remember.

In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus describes a day when He will separate those who fed the hungry, cared for the sick, and visited the imprisoned from those who turned away. At God Behind Bars, we refuse to turn away. We exist to bring hope, dignity, and the message of Jesus to men and women behind bars, reminding them they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Since 2009, God Behind Bars has launched worshipping prison churches across the country, giving tens of thousands of inmates the chance to gather every week for prayer, preaching, and worship. Through our groundbreaking Pando App, the first Christian app ever approved inside U S prisons, more than 2.5 million inmates and families now have access to Scripture, sermons, devotionals, and worship music anytime they need it. And through powerful family reunification events, including Christmas celebrations and Daddy Daughter dances, children are experiencing moments of connection that incarceration once stole from them.

The impact is real.
More than 1.1 million people have made decisions for Jesus.
More than 10,000 inmates worship weekly in over 82 prison churches.
Thousands of families are reunited every year.

But this is only the beginning.
Our vision is to reach 95 percent of the U S inmate population with the hope of Jesus and the love of the local church by the end of this decade. Every gift helps place the Gospel directly into prisons, restore families, and build thriving spiritual communities behind bars.

This is more than a mission. It is a movement.
