Support Game Devs of Color in 2026

Our mission is to amplify the creative power held by people of color in games. In 2026, your support helps power year-round programs, organizing revolutionary events, uniting our vibrant community, and building access to knowledge, funding, and opportunities. Game Devs of Color puts developers first: 

• hosting GDoCExpo, the premier game industry conference centering POC speakers and exhibitors

• spotlighting creators by curating the GDoCExpo Direct showcase

• driving sales and wishlists for indies with a front-page Steam Sale, reaching hundreds of thousands players every year

• investing in the community with no-strings dev grants

• organizing scholarship programs for in-person opportunities

• raising hardship funds to help devs navigate layoffs and industry upheaval

We do this all without putting the cost on devs, including never charging dev submission or exhibition fees, always paying speakers, providing sliding scale and free tickets, online accessibility, captions, and free archives.

Monthly recurring donations are the most impactful way to sustain our work year-round, but every contribution helps. Your generosity supports: 

• $15/month helps cover accessibility and platform costs across the year

• $25 could help provide a conference ticket for a low-income attendee

• $50 supports closed captions for 1 conference talk, ensuring accessibility for all

• $200 could help cover editing and production for 1 game to look its best in the GDoCExpo Direct

• $500 could help fund a speaker honorarium, including guidance for first-time speakers finding their voice

• $1000 helps accelerate multiple programs at once, including microgrants and scholarships for emerging creators

Game Devs of Color is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all donations are tax-deductible. Donations directly support programs, and GDoC has a Gold Transparency rating on Candid.
