GEMS PROGRAM ( Gorgeous Educated Mothers)

The organization was started from the passion of its Founder, Daylajane Mays. Daylajane was once a young single mother and found herself with little to no help for guidance, resources, and help in general. Daylajane was also a former foster youth, experienced homelessness and wants to help mothers get into a home for them and their children. Daylajane struggled to raise her two young children by herself but never gave up hope. She somehow was able to scrape by and put food on the table for her two children. She sacrificed daily and worked hard to make sure they had everything they needed. Through her struggles, Daylajane found she had a passion for helping young women going through similar circumstances. She set out to help people that she deals with every day and build off of each other’s support. Her life’s mission now is to offer support, guidance, and resources to young mothers that need direction, assistance, and most of all, a helping hand.

Rich with Attitude, Inc is a non-profit organization on a mission to build self-confidence in mothers by connecting them with resources to thrive. It is impossible to underestimate the impact self-confidence has on a-girl's development. Her early ambitions and future vision are fed by her confidence. We seek to enrich and inspire every girl to transform real-life experiences into promise and potential. Rich with Attitude provides basic need resources and support to mothers, along with various opportunities to be and do more. We hope to create a safe space where women can unite and share experiences and seek guidance.

Our Mission is for mothers to have the confidence to speak up, stand up for their principles, and defend them is an attribute mothers should learn and build. No matter how difficult the circumstances, we seek to empower mothers to embrace their experience and understand their value as a mother.

Rich with Attitude’s vision is to see mothers thriving and building resilient daughters, opening doors to future generations; we want to inspire hope through self-sufficiency. We want to provide the opportunities to feel ‘rich;’ rich in love, rich in spirit, and rich in life. We are all part of a sisterhood, we will help mothers and we will do it Rich in Attitude.

Now we need your help. To produce our program, we need to raise a minimum of $10,000.
