Are you a fan of The Moth (or other storytelling shows/podcasts)? Have you ever wondered what it takes to construct a story to share in front of a crowd? 

New for this year’s Grounds for Art: The Art of Storytelling! 

Three-time Moth mainstage storyteller (and 3+ years Scout’s monthly Story Slam host) Gina Sampaio offers a lighthearted and casual storytelling workshop at Scout’s Coffeebar & Mercantile on Wednesday August 13th from 7-9pm @ 11 Main Street, High Bridge.

Scouts will have a small selection of drinks/snacks for sale. 

Using examples from her own stories, Gina will share tips on starting, writing, refining, ending (and memorizing!) a compelling story. Prompts will be provided to put this newfound knowledge to use and participants will have the chance to write, read, refine, give and receive feedback.

You’ll have the opportunity to brainstorm and begin writing a story to perform ON STAGE at Grounds for Art on September 13th!
