Mentoring Matters

Help us make a difference in a child's life through mentoring. Research shows that mentoring has a profound and lasting impact on young people, leading to improved academic performance, stronger social connections, and better economic opportunities. Mentoring not only changes the lives of the mentees but also strengthens the community as a whole.

Grand Isle County Mentoring is a school-based program that matches children with adult mentors who share similar interests. Mentors and mentees meet once a week at local schools, building trusting, lasting relationships. The activities they engage in are simple yet meaningful: sharing conversation, reading, playing games, going for walks, doing crafts, and even cooking. These interactions provide not only guidance but also the support and encouragement many children need to thrive.
