Info on Channel Missions' The Hiding Place:

Channel Missions’ The Hiding Place is a non-profit program that serves domestic violence
survivors. The Hiding Place’s mission is to offer a safe and discreet place to recover from
domestic violence with dignity, hope, and healing. Through The Hiding Place program, we
provide emergency and transitional safe housing on a 40-acre safe property, a 24/7 hotline for
community members to call for aid and support, counseling; including individual crisis and
trauma counseling, group counseling, community support groups, resourcing for aid; including
job training, case management, financial literacy classes, transportation, job placement, etc. and
advocacy; including legal, medical, etc. We also have created partnerships within the community
to aid our clients with other forms of services that they may require, including aid in recovery of
alcohol and/or drugs, mental health, medical, parenting classes, etc. These services are provided
both to our on-site clients who reside on The Hiding Place safe property and for clients we serve
off-site, who have stable, safe housing.

Our goal with The Hiding Place is to meet survivors where they are and to help them begin their
journey towards healing. We look at each of our clients as individuals and not just numbers or
statistics. We want to be able to serve each client in the way that best aids him or her in moving
towards a brighter, healthier, and safer future.
