It's amazing to think that five years have passed since the launch of Girls Mentor Girls (GMG) in the Bronx in October 2019, just five months before the COVID lock-down. During that time of uncertainties and hardships, Girls Mentor Girls remained a steadfast support system for young women in the Bronx, offering a virtual space for community, sisterhood, and hope.

As an intimate grassroots 501cs organization, Girls Mentor Girls remains committed to creating brave spaces where young women of color are encouraged to use their voices, share stories and experiences. Through individual and peer mentoring, members create spaces in which they are empowered, inspired to empower others, and radically transform their communities.
