At The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, our mission is to provide safety, support, and hope to individuals impacted by domestic violence. All of our services are completely free and confidential, ensuring that no one faces barriers to accessing the help they need.

We serve 19 towns and cities across the Greater New Haven area, from the shoreline to the Valley. Last year, we provided services to over 6,000 individuals.

Our work includes:

• A 24/7 crisis hotline, offering immediate assistance to those in danger.
• Emergency safe housing, providing a safe home for survivors and their children.
• Advocacy services, helping individuals navigate housing, employment, and healthcare systems.
• Court advocacy, standing with survivors as they pursue legal protection and justice.

Domestic violence takes many forms—verbal, financial, mental, and physical. Not all wounds are visible, but every survivor’s pain is real.

As you can imagine, providing these essential services comes at a cost. Fundraising efforts like tonight are critical to ensuring that these services remain free and accessible to all.
