Join GOALS in getting festive, active, and making a difference! We're using the Ugly Sweater 5K @ Left Hand Brewing Co. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 to build a head-to-head FUNdraising event that harnesses a little competition at GOALS World Headquarters to raise money for the mission!

Event Details

Between now and December 6th, anyone who supports improving teen mental health & protecting wild places can join this event - as a member of Team Brett or Team Ben (see below). You'll create your own FUNdraising page, then ask friends and family members to give generously. On December 6th, our team of local athletes will show up in their best/worst holiday attire & run, walk, or skip in the fresh air together to celebrate the piles of money we've raised to support the 2026 GOALS Season.
Out of town? Doesn't matter. Sure, we'll miss you in Longmont - but you can still create a page and be a part of this movement (pun intended).

But, which team should I join?

Join Team Ben if:
- you're more aligned with "the young pups" than the "old dogs" (i.e. you've never made someone a mix tape.)
- you're more likely to send your friends a Snap than an email.
- you're out to prove that youthful energy can, in fact, keep up with older pocketbooks.
- you've spent time with Ben on the river, and love the lessons he has shared with you.

Join Team Brett if:
- you're more aligned with "the old dogs" than the "young pups" (i.e. you had go-to songs for every break-up mix tape.)
- you worry that getting Snapped by a friend might hurt.
- you're out to prove that the old dogs have still got it.
- you've spent time with Brett on the river, and love the lessons he has shared with you.

Join EITHER team if:
- you care about GOALS, and want to see the impact it has on kids last for many decades to come.

I'm in! Now what??

Step 1. Create your own page by clicking "fundraise" at the top of this page. Add a photo and a quick message about why GOALS means so much to you - you'll be up and running in no time.

Step 2. Share your peer-to-peer page with friends and family members who support GOALS and creating imperative connections for today's youth in the great outdoors. Your efforts from now until race day will make this event successful.

Step 3. Register for the race HERE (If you raise more than the entry fee for the race GOALS Will cover the cost.)
Note: if you're not in the Denver area but still want to be involved, we LOVE that. Just find a local race or create your own event - together, we'll make 12/6 a day of communal impact, even if we can't run side by side.

Step 4. Show up on December 6th, and get ready to crush the course, then celebrate together!

This is a low-pressure, high-fun event that will culminate in a feel-good crew raising their hands high in celebration of a job well done - both fundraising and on course!

Summarizing the "Important Stuff":

What: A peer-to-peer fundraising push leading up to a casual, fun 5K-ish walk/run (untimed—all paces welcome!).
Where: Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, CO...OR...wherever you care to lace 'em up and cover a 5K.
When: Saturday, December 6, 2025 (start times: 10:00 & 10:30 am.)
The Look: Dust off your most ridiculous ugly sweater (festive attire is mandatory!)
Be tough: This is a rain or shine event. As we say on GOALS expeditions, there is no bad weather - only bad gear.
Rewards! Finishers will receive a free craft brew or N/A drink of their choice at the finish line, as well as an Ugly Sweater holiday penguin ornament/finisher medal.
