Hello!
My name is Madeline Sinnaeve, and I am a junior at the Institute for G.O.D. I am 23 years old, and I love the Lord so much! He has graciously and persistently pursued me since I was born, and I will spend my life learning about Him, serving, and growing in my capacity to be a light to the nations.
I am so excited to announce that I will be going on Summer Internship this year! This trip is once again organized by and connected to my school, the Institute for G.O.D. It will be my third Summer Internship, a requirement for completing my Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies. Each trip progressively increases in responsibility, preparing me for a lifetime of service and ministry.
In my first year, I went on Summer Internship as a Recruit, where I was exposed to the deep needs and poverty in the world. That experience touched me profoundly, and from that moment on, I knew I would be involved in mission work for the rest of my life.
In my second year, I returned as a Trainee, taking on greater leadership responsibilities. My role included guiding first-year teammates, assisting our leaders, and problem-solving to help my team remain healthy and effective. That trip stretched me beyond what I could have imagined, but I also saw firsthand how my time studying the Bible had increased my ability to serve and offer something meaningful to both my team and the people we met. My love for God's mission deepened, and I built lasting relationships with our partners in Uganda and Kenya.
Now, in my final required Summer Internship, I will once again serve as a Trainee, and I am beyond excited! This year, we will be ministering in Nashville, Tennessee; El Salvador; Uganda; and Kenya.
How Can You Pray for Me?
Language Learning – Please pray for my efforts to learn basic Spanish and Swahili so I can communicate better with those we will serve. I know how powerful it is to share the Gospel in someone’s native tongue, and I want to dedicate time before the trip to learning these languages.
Team Unity & Vulnerability – Pray that our team will be unified, open, and rooted in Scripture. We will only be effective if we work together and serve with humility.
Fundraising – This year’s trip cost is higher due to the number of locations we will be traveling to. Fundraising feels like a big challenge, but in the past, God has always provided—often through the generosity of others. I trust He will do it again!
Family – As I prepare for another summer abroad, please pray for my family. I ask that the Lord will be near to them and take care of them while I am away doing His work. I am so grateful for their love and support!
Why Am I Going?
I am going because I am committed to being a light to the nations. I want to grow as a follower of Christ in ways that make a real spiritual and physical impact on those who are underprivileged and overlooked.
Jesus’ ministry was full of teaching, healing, and humanizing those oppressed by ungodly systems, and I want to follow His example. I will go where He calls me, serve with joy, and strive to make His name known.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support!
