Hi everyone!
I'm Marina Drummond, a freshman at The Institute, and I am so excited to share an incredible opportunity I have this summer to step out in faith and serve on my first international mission trip.
If you don't already know me, or how I got here, my journey with the Institute began in June of 2024 when I had the privilege of chaperoning my church's youth group on a summer mission trip called SLAM. During that trip, I witnessed firsthand the passion, dedication, and faith of the interns at the Institute. I spent the time learning about the school's passion for serving abroad, and I was inspired by the stories of how they had already served in the communities around the world.
As I talked with last year's interns, they shared their experiences not only about the impactful trips they had been on but also about how deeply their time at The Institute has transformed their faith and their understanding of what it means to serve God and others. It was in those conversations that I felt a tug on my heart, a sense that God was leading me to be part of this mission. I left that trip with a growing desire to follow God's call, and now, as a student at The Institute, I'm seeing that calling come to life.
This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to be apart of the 2025 Summer Internship team! I'm looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and seeing how God will work in and through me to share His love and hope with others.
This journey is about more than just me. It's an opportunity for all of us to come together to make an eternal impact. That's why I'm inviting you to be part of this mission with me. Your support through prayer, giving, and encouragement will mean the world as I step into this calling.
