Hey all! My name is Zeke Nadeau, and I am a freshman at the Institute for GOD. This upcoming summer, from June 8th - July 25th, I will be on mission in Nashville, El Salvador, Kenya, and Uganda!
Why I want to go on this trip:
When I was younger, my parents made it pertinent to me and my brothers that we must be globally conscious. This means we have knowledge of the people who live in our community and those who live around the world and that they live in a reality that is different from ours. We are responsible for praying for them and serving them in whatever way we can. My parents would share stories with me about their experiences serving on the mission field in China and Malaysia. This influenced my decision-making moving into the future and is a reason why I am going on this mission trip again.
A little bit about me:
I am 18 years old and a freshman in college working on my biblical studies and community development degrees. I currently work as a medical assistant at Hopewell Family Care, the largest integrative health clinic in Tennessee, and as a coach for Nashville Fùtbol Club, a youth soccer club. I am excited to use the skills I am learning through my jobs to help in any way I can while we are on our mission trip. Also, as I want to work in Latin America in the future, I have been working a lot on my Spanish so that I can better communicate this summer and in the years to come!
Prayer request for the trip:
My prayer request while on this mission trip is that I can develop my heart of service towards pleasing the Lord instead of pleasing people. It is a tendency I have to try and please those around me, and this is something that prohibits me from having a focus and ear turned towards the Lord. I would also appreciate prayer for the safety of everyone going on the trip and for our whole team to continue to trust and rely on the Lord through fundraising and other preperations.
Favorite bible verse:
We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love. Ephesians 4:14-16
