Dear Supporter,
Thanks to your generosity and the hard work of the library staff, we celebrated our one-year anniversary in the new Greenfield Public Library building this past July. We’re excited to reflect on the successes and aspirations supported by your donation to the Friends.
Thousands of community members of all ages have been inspired to engage with the new library over the past 16 months. During that time, the library has:
welcomed 10,000–13,000 people each month
offered 30–70 programs monthly
sponsored programs that have been both diverse and well-attended
Programming is supported almost entirely by the funds raised by the Friends of the Greenfield Library, and this yearly appeal is our biggest fundraiser. Our community relies on you – friends and neighbors – to fund the myriad programs offered by the library.
Last year, we met our fundraising goal of $15,000 during our Annual Appeal Campaign. This year, we are aiming to match or exceed that amount. Gifts of any amount make a big difference; please consider a one-time or monthly donation, making a gift in honor or memory of someone dear to you, or giving anonymously if you prefer. Your generous donation today ensures a robust slate of programs available for our diverse Greenfield community, including:
child and teen programming
the Homebound Delivery Program
writing workshops, book discussions, and film screenings for adults
Poet’s Seat Poetry Contest
Museum & Park Passes
This library is yours, ours, everyone’s. Your donation to the Friends makes the Greenfield Public Library’s programming possible.
Thank you for your generosity,
Sara Lark & Celine Nader
