Grass Roots Neighbors has a shower trailer!

Now, we need your help to put it in action.

Why is this important for our neighbors experiencing homelessness? And how does this help obtain housing?

A massive barrier to securing employment and services
Vital to mental and physical health
Helps people feel welcome in society

We are launching this program in collaboration with LavaMaeX, who is generously providing their expertise and advising on operations. Combining access to meals and showers enables us to build trusting relationships, a stronger community, and yes - helps move people a step closer to housing!

Why $50,000?

These are our estimated startup costs. This includes a good used truck that can pull 15,000 pounds, supplies, and a generator. This does not include staff.

What else should I know?

-> Our goal is to hire people experiencing homelessness to staff the trailer. This provides purpose, employment experience, and help building income.

-> The truck! We need a dependable truck with the power to haul the trailer on shower days, and fresh produce on other days. If you can help financially or with contacts, please call or e-mail us at info@grassrootsneighbors.org.
