Help Camp Kaleidoscope Bring Light to Families Affected by Cancer
Every year, over 2 million people are diagnosed with cancer—and many of them have families and children whose lives are suddenly upended with no guide on what comes next. In the face of uncertainty, Camp Kaleidoscope is here to make sure no child or family has to face it alone.
Camp Kaleidoscope is more than just a camp – we’re local a community for over 120 children, and their families in the Bay Area, whose lives have been affected by cancer. Our mission is simple: to create spaces where kids and families can form lasting connections with peers who understand them. And, of course, to just have fun.

Kaleidoscope provides a week long summer camp for children 6-18 whose parent, or caregiver, has ever battled cancer—regardless of outcome. It’s a week of slime, s’mores and opportunities to share their stories. At camp, children have access to a wide web of dedicated support, with a trained volunteer counselor for every two children and several mental health professionals on site. Any child impacted by a caregiver's cancer should have access to this unique experience, so we make sure camp and transportation are, and always will be, entirely free to all families.

Kaleidoscope's commitment doesn’t stop there. Throughout the year, we host regular events for families, children and counselors to stay connected. At sporting events and community gatherings, everyone gets a chance to reconnect, recharge, and channel the joy of camp. Camp Kaleidoscope's hope is to provide children and families with life long friendships, and support as they each experience their own personal journey of living with and beyond cancer.

Camp Kaleidoscope is dedicated to meeting families where they are. Counselors make themselves available to support families and children in their everyday lives and important milestones. Counselors have brought cheer, excitement, and encouragement by attending school plays, graduations, and important events. When a parent passes, we are equally ready to bring compassion, empathy/care, and support. We stand by families through their brightest and darkest moments of this journey.
With your support, we can continue offering these life-changing programs and be there for families when it matters most. Please join us in making a difference today!
