Support the Mission of Good Works Farm

Thank you for supporting Good Works Farm!

The mission of Good Works Farm is to enthusiastically empower differently-abled individuals to reach their fullest potential in supportive and meaningful environments. We provide community experiences for those with developmental disabilities and their families, including summer day camp, summer youth transition program, year-round adult day habilitation, vocational habilitation, social outings, family events, and more.

"Being at Good Works Farm has really helped me with my socialization skills. We all have some type of special ability and we are special in our own way."

-Caroline, Farmer

At first I was nervous about my daughter attending camp...after our first day my daughter Sami was so happy, I could see the joy in her eyes and how excited she was when I picked her up. That look in her eyes made me happy!

Our programs include:

-Day Habilitation: Focuses on individual-centric goals, including planning and implementing ISPs. A typical day begins on the farm with caring for and nurturing the animals and meeting at the nearby church for programming, continuing with an afternoon in the community; activities include creative arts, horticulture, animal care, volunteering, money management, culinary arts, and recreation.

-Vocational Habilitation: Incorporating general skills needed in the workforce or skills used in the actual career to move someone along the path to employment. We partner with organizations in the community to help clients build skills and gain experience with the ultimate goal of securing meaningful employment.

-Teen Transition Program: A mini-Day Hab experience, helping teens transition to the adult world of services. We work with the client's team to individualize that person's transition.

-Summer day camp: We welcome individuals with developmental disabilities ages 5+ and their typical siblings and teach campers how to care for farm animals, grow a garden, build projects, participate in art, games, and more. Day camp is held one week in June.

-Ohio Shared Living Provider Agency: Good Works Farm assists our OSL clients with training, guidance, resources, and support. They receive funding from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities as the full-time care provider for their disabled adult.

-Homemaker Personal Care: An HPC provider supports a person in being more independent while meeting their daily living needs inside and outside their home.

-Social Outreach: A couple of times a month, the farmers get together for a social event with their family and friends.
