In 2023 there were 55,298 child victims served by the 70 Child Advocacy Centers across the state of Texas. Garth House served over 700 of those children. Through the efforts of our multidisciplinary team, we are dedicated to shining a healing light on the dark world of child abuse & child sex trafficking. Since 1991, Garth House has provided over 17,500 forensic interviews, along with counseling, care coordination and education services. Garth House continuously strives to focus on healing and hope for the innocent victims of child abuse in Southeast Texas.

Garth House is a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Organization that has been working for the children of Southeast Texas since 1991. We facilitate and conduct forensic interviews with children of alleged physical and/or sexual abuse in an environment which reflects the physical and emotional atmosphere of a home, rather than that of a clinic or an institution. Each interview is recorded, so that the child does not have to repeat their trauma repeatedly during the investigative, prosecutorial and healing process. We serve approximately 900 children annually, a number that regrettably continues to rise every year. Counseling is then offered to the children and their non-offending family members at no cost to them. In addition to providing forensic interviews, family advocacy and counseling services, Garth House also provides Care Coordination services for survivors of child sex trafficking. We serve six counties in Southeast Texas: Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton, Orange and Tyler.
