Bigger and Safer Parking for The Gatherings

AcadiaCon and our yard sale raised $5,000 for improved parking and traffic flow, but we still need to raise another $19,000.

Use of The Gatherings more than doubled over the past year with 150 – 250 people per month using our space for 1 -- 5 activities every day. This growing use of our community center has made the small parking area inadequate and unsafe. With professional support, we’ve designed a new loop driveway and expanded parking area with the addition of handicap spaces, and also maintaining the EV charging.

KJ Dugas Construction has been contracted for the work, which will cost $24,000 if we remove the old garage ourselves.

The Gatherings location on Rt.172, across from the post office and near the village center makes it convenient for the hundreds of people who regularly attend activities at our community center. It sits on nearly two acres of land and currently has an undersized parking area with room for 9 cars, two of which have access to EV chargers.
