General Admission

This initiative was created by St. Louis teen Coco Bland, who has experienced firsthand the way the arts can transform confidence, connection, and opportunity. Because of that experience, she became passionate about helping ensure others can enjoy live theatre without barriers.

To make that vision a reality, General Admission reached out to Ignite Theatre Company to bring together two organizations working to increase access both on stage and on the field.

This winter, Challenger Baseball and Ignite Theatre Company will partner to provide a special performance of Disney’s Frozen for Challenger athletes and their families because every person deserves equitable access to the experiences that make sports and the arts so meaningful.

Funds raised will help expand sensory supports, provide concessions, create accessibility resources, and cover additional elements needed to make this pilot partnership a success and create a welcoming experience for every attendee.

About Challenger Baseball
Challenger Baseball creates opportunities for athletes with disabilities to participate in baseball in an environment centered on inclusion, community, confidence, and fun. Through adaptive programming, athletes are able to experience teamwork, belonging, and the joy of being part of the game.

Since 2017, Ignite Theatre Company has been committed to making theatre more accessible through inclusive casting opportunities, sensory-friendly performances, scholarship support, social stories, sensory tools, and programs designed to ensure performers and audiences of all abilities can participate fully. Through its Arts for All initiatives, Ignite continues to build spaces where every person can belong, create, and grow.
