Help Bambi Get the Vet Care He Deserves

Hi friends,

I’m fundraising on behalf of a sweet, goofy, incredibly loving dog named Bambino, or as I call him, Bambi. And I need your help to get him the care he needs so he can find his forever home.

A few days ago, I was walking to the bodega when I spotted a dog running in traffic, totally untethered and confused. A skateboarder and I both stopped in our tracks, trying to help him out of danger. We followed him toward a woman walking far ahead — turned out she was his owner, but instead of being concerned, she told us she was “teaching him a lesson for chewing on his leash.”

When we pointed out that he could easily get hit by a car, she flatly replied, “I don’t even want this dog. My ex gave him to me and I hate him.” Then she handed him over and walked away. Just like that.

So now…Bambi is with me. ❤️

He’s about 1 year old, weighs around 40lbs, and is the sweetest boy I’ve ever met. All playful energy. Loves toys, gives kisses, wants to snuggle and hug. He’s been playing with toys my older dogs abandoned years ago, and I’ve never seen a dog so grateful.

Here’s the thing: I already have two senior dogs with special needs and can’t keep him permanently. But I’m committed to giving Bambi a real shot at a good life — one he’s never had.

Before he can be adopted, he needs to be neutered and get a full first vet check-up, including vaccinations and a microchip.

I’m raising $750 to cover Bambi’s vet exam, fecal, vaccinations, microchip, neuter and any medications he might need. Every dollar helps get him one step closer to a forever home.
