From February 1-7, Heartland Health Services is celebrating National Patient Recognition Week! Our patients at Heartland Health are like family, and we aim to care for them during visits and in-between visits. To do this, our team works hard to provide access to quality care by helping patients overcome any barriers they may have to receiving vital health services.

As part of this, we oftentimes assist patients who do not have personal transportation with finding alternative transportation options to get them to their upcoming appointments. Sometimes this is just once a year for a patient, but as we commonly see, our patients are frequently visiting us for chronic conditions. Options for alternative transportation are scarce in the area, but we are able to assist in scheduling ride-shares and third-party cab companies. And, in some cases, we can offer bus passes to ensure patients are getting the care they need.

In honor of National Patient Recognition Week, we are asking our community to recognize our patients by donating to Heartland Health Services in support of vital services and programs that allow our patients to get the care they need to thrive.
