Giving Tuesday 2025: Tagumpay Pondo
Kaibigan ng Lāhaina humbly asks for your donations on this Giving Tuesday to support our Tagumpay Pondo. The Tagumpay Pondo, under our Sawali Case Management program, has provided $128,000 to survivor families to meet immediate needs and help them get back on track on financial stability. With the ever changing landscape of post-disaster recovery for our fire-survivor communities, your donation to the Tagumpay Pondo can help survivors achieve stability and be in the best position towards long-term recovery and resiliency.
Recipients of the Tagumpay Pondo grant have helped the funds pay for housing expenses, food, childcare, replace personal items lost in the fire, pay debt for expenses for their recovery, medical expenses to name a few examples. While grants are limited to no more $1,000.00, these direct grants have provided hope and recharged inspiration for long-term sustainability amidst loss and trauma.
Your generous donation can help families in the long recovery process, and assure our Lahaina community has equitable steps forward to rebuilding and reclaiming Lahaina.
