What is giving Tuesday? GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity.
What is Giving Tuesday at Family Promise of the South Bay? It is an opportunity to contribute to a better future for all. Giving Tuesday at Family Promise of the South Bay will contribute to providing unhoused families safe and secure housing during the cold winter months.
Mission
Our mission is to help families seeking stable housing in the South Bay achieve sustainable independence through a community-based approach. We envision a community where every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. Our mission empowers families in the South Bay area who are seeking stable housing to achieve sustainable independence through a holistic approach. We are committed preserving the family unity by providing a comprehensive continuum of care that includes homelessness prevention, temporary shelter, transitional housing, educational resources, Summer STEM Camp, and personalized case management.
Services
Family Promise of the South Bay has developed a series of programs that focus on five key areas: prevention, shelter, stabilization, education, and additional community services.
Population
Our primary focus is on low-income and homeless families and single-parent households who are trying to build stable lives for themselves and their children. Through intensive wraparound services, we address the multifaceted needs of families facing or at risk of homelessness. We serve families with at least one child under 18, offering a comprehensive model of care that includes homelessness prevention services, temporary shelter, transitional housing, educational resources, and individualized case management. Our programs provide holistic support to youth and their parents through additional services such as life skills classes, trauma-informed therapy, ongoing mentorship, and a free six-week summer camp.
Donate today to help house a homeless family!
