In the heart of East Texas, a beacon of hope shines for children in the foster care system. This beacon is East Texas CASA, an organization devoted to advocating for children's rights by ensuring they have safe, nurturing homes where they can thrive. Since its inception, the organization has touched countless lives, transforming children's futures and strengthening the community.

As the holiday season approaches, a global movement unfolds, known as Giving Tuesday. Started in 2012 as an antidote to holiday consumerism, Giving Tuesday has become a beacon of generosity, inspiring people worldwide to give back to their communities. This year, on November 28, 2023, we ask you to turn your attention to the children of East Texas.

Our story begins with a child, a child with dreams as vast as the Texas sky but caught in circumstances that threaten those dreams. This child, like many others, finds a lifeline in East Texas CASA. Our dedicated volunteers, or CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates), stand by these children, representing their best interests in court and ensuring their voices are heard.

This Giving Tuesday on November 28th, together with you, we can be there for our most vulnerable youth, like Jackson pictured above who wants more than anything a home to spend the holidays in. Through our efforts, we've seen remarkable transformations. Children once lost in the system find stability, comfort, and ultimately, a place they can call home. We've seen futures rewritten, potential unleashed, and dreams pursued. Yet, there are still many more children waiting for advocates, waiting for someone to champion their cause. East Texas CASA cant adovacate for children with out recruting & training community volunteers to become advocates for these amazing kids, but we relies on the generosity of our community for support.
