North Wayne Elementary School, a partnership of students, staff, families, and community, is committed to providing a safe environment to ensure all students acquire and apply essential skills, utilize Wayne Westside Values, and respect diversity, which enables all students to develop their potential to become lifelong learners in a technologically advanced society.

The funds from this campaign will help our students grow as readers, thinkers, and leaders. We are excited to purchase books for students to take home. This provides the opportunity for our students and families to work together on reading skills and making connections. Our students have already fallen in love with reading this year and we want them to have books with characters like them. Making personal connections to books provides a deeper connection and love of reading. When our students love their books, they learn more. Providing books for students to take and keep at home allow our families to also be involved in their students' making of connections and growing as readers, thinkers, and leaders.
