Ever since I started working at Old North back in 2011 to today on my regular commute to the Chamber, I have absolutely loved the Greenway. From enjoying the big swings after picking up gelato or cannoli in the North End to taking the kids on the carousel to sitting on a quiet bench on tough day to marveling at the gigantic mural in Dewey Square, I spend a large amount of my time downtown on the Greenway, probably more so than any other area. Many of you have experienced the Greenway yourself, as have millions of people. Hands down, the Greenway makes Boston better.

I’m honored to serve on the Glow in the Park Committee, comprised of early and mid-career professionals working in companies adjacent to or near the Greenway in downtown Boston. We come together to raise awareness of and funds for the Conservancy because of the incredible work they do and how it impacts the lives of Bostonians and anyone who visits.

Their work connects neighborhoods and people through horticulture and green spaces, public art, and community-led programming in ways that are sustainable, equitable, and welcoming. As locals know, the Greenway runs from the edge of the North End all the way to Chinatown, created after the Big Dig. The Greenway has completely changed the way people experience the streets of Boston at a pedestrian level.
