Gold Was Made Fa’ Her (GWMFH) is a 501(c)(3) arts organization and movement dedicated to advancing economic justice, the legacy of Black women artists and their work, and radical care for Black women and communities in the Black South. We exist to dismantle systemic barriers, advocate for rest as a form of ancestral resistance for Black women, and build a regenerative ecosystem that fosters generational wellness, Black community preservation, and collective liberation.
Investing in Gold Was Made Fa’ Her helps us scale and sustain our organization, community engagement, arts and wellness programming, and mutual aid efforts that keep Black women resourced with tangible support.
