Take a vacation from cooking on Wednesday, May 4, with these Drive-Thru Dinners !

The BH-BL Education Foundation loves reading! And we love innovative ideas that support BH-BL teachers and students too -- in fact innovation is what we are all about.

So on May 4th, the Foundation is partnering with Spartan Catering on a new, tasty, reading-themed fundraiser. Proceeds from this drive-thru dinner will be used to make grants to BH-BL teachers seeking to enhance learning in innovative ways. PLUS the Foundation will donate 20% of food sale proceeds to the district library program. This 20% is money that BH-BL librarians can use as they see fit to provide a little something extra for our 5 school libraries.

You can order complete dinners for $15 each, side dishes for $6, and desserts for $5 - $6. All food items will be available for pick up from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 4, by driving through the back parking lot of the BH-BL High School. No need to leave your car for pick-up.

Dinner offerings for $15 each:

How to Catch a Turkey Traditional Turkey Dinner including gravy, stuffing, mashed red bliss potatoes, glazed carrots, cranberry sauce, roll & butter. $15
(A Gluten-Free version of the Turkey dinner is also available.)

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Dinner – Baked penne with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Served with meatballs, Italian bread, and a side salad. $15

Where the Crawdads Sing Shrimp Etouffee Dinner – Very flavorful and a touch spicy. Served with dirty rice and corn fritters. $15

Strega Nona’s Favorite Pasta Dinner - Vegetarian lasagna layered with a rich marinara sauce and vegetables, and topped with a béchamel sauce and cheese — plus Italian bread and a side salad. $15

Side Dishes and Dessert offerings for $5 or $6 each:

Mac and Cheese Spartan Catering’s Famous Macaroni and Cheese Side Dish - A generous portion of this creamy favorite. $6

Fruit Salad Friend Fresh Fruit Salad - A medley of cut up, fresh (not canned) fruits. $6

Blueberries for Sal Blueberry Pie - A slice of fresh-baked yumminess. $5

James & the Giant Peach Cobbler - Peach cobbler with a crumb topping. (A Gluten-Free version of peach cobbler is also available.) $5

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Cake - Decadent chocolate cake with chocolate ganache icing. $6

PLUS - Celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4 (May the "Fourth" be with you!) with some Wookiee Cookies! - A set of two large (2-oz) gingerbread cookies hand-decorated to look like Chewbacca, everyone's favorite Wookiee. $6
