Somehow it has already been 5 years since we lost Kaitlyn and Grady due to childbirth complications, and while time has simultaneously moved at the speed of light and molasses, each day bringing its own form of grief with the full spectrum of emotions, one constant throughout has been my incredible support system.

In supporting Grady's Gifts you are not only purchasing groceries for families or winter gear for our houseless neighbors, you allow me to turn the worst of my grief during the hardest anniversaries into something positive -- something that in those earliest of days helped get me out of bed and keep moving forward.

Our first #GradysGifts was Dec 2022, and since then, your support has shown 553 people living in the lowest income neighborhoods across Kansas City, Portland, San Diego and Sonoma County that they are not forgotten:

You've bought groceries, hats, and gloves. You've provided a CSA membership to a low income, single parent family with young children. You've surprised people at the register and you've provided agency for individualized shopping trips to allow folks to get what they need. You've purchased backpacks full of essentials and snacks for houseless youth, and you bought a phone plan for a man who had lost touch with his family. And you've warmed my heart while allowing me to practice the philanthropic efforts we had so hoped to teach Grady in life.
