Grace Path, a 501(c)3 nonprofit Christian production company, and The Fort Greene Project, a community-driven initiative, are coming together to produce a powerful film—Greater Purpose - The Movie. This film will not only tell their story but will also serve as a beacon of hope, reminding us that God’s plan is greater than any trial we face.

A Story Rooted in Real-Life Faith and Struggle

The story of Greater Purpose is a testimony to the power of obedience to God’s calling.

In January 2023, Dennis, originally from Los Angeles, found himself in a homeless shelter in Phoenix after narrowly escaping a home invasion. Forced to flee for his safety, he left everything behind. But in his darkest hour, he found Jesus. By April, he was working at an addiction recovery center, where he met Timeke, a Brooklyn native with a vision to serve marginalized communities. Their friendship grew over shared faith, dreams, and an understanding that their past struggles were meant for a greater purpose.

Dennis and Timeke encouraged one another—Timeke helped Dennis get back on his feet, even gifting him a bed, mattress, and TV when he got his first apartment. Meanwhile, Dennis mentored Timeke in launching his nonprofit, The Fort Greene Project, which would go on to provide essential services to those in need.

One day, Dennis confided in Timeke that the Holy Spirit had revealed to him that they would soon lose their jobs at the recovery center. Skeptical but trusting, Timeke listened. A few weeks later, they were both let go. But instead of despair, they embraced the opportunity to pursue their true calling.

Timeke had just welcomed a newborn into his family, and Dennis found himself investing in studio equipment to launch Grace Path, a Christian media platform. His first podcast guests were from his church's men’s group—a group that ignited his hunger for brotherhood, ministry, and spreading the Gospel.

However, God had more in store. Dennis felt the Lord telling him to sell everything and move across the country. He obeyed, landing in Ohio, homeless once again, but fueled by faith. Working 14-hour days while living in his car, he attended church, produced his podcast, and continued to support Timeke’s growing nonprofit.

Over time, the Fort Greene Project flourished, and Dennis was able to establish Grace Path as a full-fledged nonprofit production company. With a clear mission from God—to create books, podcasts, music, videos, and now movies to glorify Jesus—Dennis wrote over a dozen books and was eventually reunited with his children.

This film, Greater Purpose, is the true story of two men whose faith led them from hardship to divine purpose. It is a film about redemption, obedience, and the power of answering God’s call.
