Greenwood Elementary Move-A-Thon 2025

Greenwood Elementary is a vibrant K–5 public school in the heart of Seattle, Washington. For decades, our school has been rooted in community, connection, and a tradition of quality education. Under the leadership of Principal Erin Taylor, our extraordinary team of teachers and staff works tirelessly to know each child as an individual—helping them grow not only as students, but as valued members of a supportive school family.

This fall, we are thrilled to bring our community together for the 2025 Greenwood Move-A-Thon! On Friday, October 17th, every student will be challenged to keep moving for 20 minutes alongside their classmates. Whether they’re running laps, jumping rope, skipping, or dancing their hearts out in the schoolyard, the goal is the same: to feel the joy and energy of moving together as one community.

Like all public schools, Greenwood depends on fundraising to provide the extras that make a big difference. Dollars raised through the Move-A-Thon help us fund essential programs and positions that directly impact our kids every day—from tutoring support and a Student Advocate role, to enrichment in dance, music, and art.
