Support Asia’s Journey to Ghana: A Cultural & Service Learning Experience

We’re thrilled to share that Asia, our incredible Program Manager at Six Dimensions, has been selected to participate in a powerful 8-day service learning trip to Ghana, taking place September 14-22, 2025. This initiative is a new partnership between Six Dimensions and the Iowa Black Doula Collective, focused on fostering global connections in health and education while celebrating and contributing to the African diaspora.

Asia is an enthusiastic public health practitioner who has been with our organization for three years. Her work centers on improving Black maternal health outcomes through community-based initiatives, advocacy, and preventive care. She brings a wealth of experience and passion to this journey as a trained birth doula, certified community health worker, and Certified Health Education Specialist.

While in Ghana, Asia will engage with local communities, explore rural and private health systems, and gain deep insight into the country’s history, culture, and its impact on the West. This immersive experience aligns perfectly with her mission to promote health equity and wellness, both locally and globally.

We’re raising funds to help cover Asia’s travel, lodging, and program expenses. Your support will not only help her embark on this transformative journey but will also strengthen vital partnerships rooted in service, equity, and cultural exchange.
