Peninsula Bridge and The Guild invite the community to kick off the new year and party like it’s 1989 with a fun-filled evening of live music, dancing, and connection! Proudly marking 35 years since Peninsula Bridge was founded in 1989, this event will celebrate the organization's commitment to empowering underserved students through education, with a totally awesome night of 80's music and nostalgia. Guests are encouraged to don their best 80's outfits or just bring their dancing shoes—either way, it will be rad!

Enjoy upbeat hits direct from your favorite mixtape by local cover band Neighborhood Crime Wave while connecting with friends, both old and new. Ticket proceeds from the evening will benefit Peninsula Bridge, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering highly motivated, low-income students to achieve college and career success through individualized support and transformational educational opportunities. Come cut footloose with us at this party with a purpose and help support the dreams of our community’s deserving students!

The Artists

Meet Neighborhood Crime Wave, a fun-loving, high-energy band hailing from the Peninsula and San Francisco. Since 2019, they've been rocking stages with a crowd-pleasing mix of dance hits and rock classics, spanning from today’s chart-toppers all the way back to the groovy 70s. Known for their themed parties (check out their infamous Yacht Rock shenanigans below), the band is suiting up to bring their ultimate 80s A-game to the Guild this January.

The lineup includes the dynamic duo of Eric O’Brien and Amie Shapiro on vocals, Andrew Greenstein keeping the beat on drums, Matt Shafae holding down the groove on bass, Thomas Stedman lighting it up on keys, and the two Johns—Baily and Fowler—riffing on guitars. Whether you're a child of the 80s or just wish you were, get ready to dance the night away for a great cause, all in support of Peninsula Bridge!

Join Us At The Guild!

Tickets can be purchased online at the The Guild Theatre website ($147 incl. all fees) or at the in person box office ($125) located at 949 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA. The box office is open from 12-5pm Tuesday-Saturday and 1 hour before showtime. Ticket prices increase by $5 at the box office on show day, so we recommend buying them early!
