Hope for a brighter future: Delegate, recreate, Innovate

We hope that you will join us in building Hope for a brighter future: Delegate, recreate, Innovate to fund opportunities, technology and structural support to help sustain student success long into the future. These tactile asks allow us to build on what we started last year and make investments in the future of the schools and their programs.

Upcoming school needs:

Delegate: The Palestine Model United Nations (PalMUN) program is a long-standing academic program that allows students from all ELCJHL schools to learn more about international relations, business, law and politics. This year 24 students will participate in PalMUN, a three-day event promoting debate, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and English proficiency. For our students to fully participate they need support funding transportation, lodging and faculty support.

Recreate: Kindergarten is the foundation for learning and growth at ELCJHL schools. The ELS school in Beit Sahour, hasn’t been able to update their playground facilities in many years, making the outdoor recreation area unsafe and undesirable for student use. We hope to raise funds to fully revamp the outdoor area at ELS so that students have space to play and engage alongside their studies.

Innovate: Seven additional LCD projectors in each school are needed to equip classrooms and support the interactive English curriculum adopted this year for elementary students. These projectors are a vital piece of technology for learning and will support student success in the classrooms long into the future.

Over the next few months, we will have opportunities to hear more from the students, teachers and staff that these improvements and investments affect. We will have opportunities to dive deeper into what it means to build brighter futures for the ELCJHL Schools and are so excited for you to be a part of this growth.
