About Us

The HumBol Fund is a 501 (c)3 non-profit charity in the United States. It was named for John "Bol" Ajak, a former South Sudanese refugee living and studying in the U.S.

The HumBol fund aims to provide children and other individuals in Kenya and South Sudan with a sense of hope through charitable actions. Furthermore, we strive to bridge the gap by giving children opportunities they may not receive in refugee camps through education.

Our Goal

The HumBol Fund's primary goal is to better children's lives through education. This starts in Kenya with children living in refugee camps and getting them to Nairobi, Kenya. Once in Nairobi, we hope to provide them with more significant opportunities and eventually help bring these children to the United States.

We strive to give refugee camp children opportunities to pursue their dreams through education and higher learning. We are actively working toward strategic partnerships to identify scholarships for these children to live and study in the United States.

Use of Funds

We are looking to raise funds for the following items as we continue to carry out our mission as an organization.

Academics

Tutoring sessions for scholars in Nairobi, Kenya, to help prepare them for their admission processes with schools in the United States
SAT exam studying resources and fees
Cost of admission fees to schools in the United States
Additional school costs that are not covered by scholarships or grants, such as partial tuition

Travel

Visas to travel to and study within the United States
Flights and accommodations to the United States upon acceptance to schools

Cost of Living

Miscellaneous costs of living during their time in the United States
Examples include clothing, toiletries, school supplies, meals, school events
