"The trees of Homeland are the most distinguished feature of its natural beauty. If Homeland had no other attraction, the magnificent, century-old trees which cover a large part of its 400 rolling acres would appeal to many home-seekers."
While this 1924 home sales promotional statement is still accurate 100 years later, our cherished attraction is in danger. Over 615 neighborhood street trees have been removed throughout the years without replacement due to old age, blight, and other anthropogenic causes, and that number continues to grow.
The Homeland Community Foundation is dedicated to restoring our street tree canopy and preserving a flourishing neighborhood landscape. Replacing a tree comes at a significant cost--$1,000 for plant material, transportation, and labor. We must do it with community support. Please consider donating to this critical initiative.
We need your help to keep our Homeland Beautiful.
