HELP support HENRY and his medical expenses.

Henry was brought to the animal shelter as a stray and was found to be in a terrible state. He was covered in fleas, had skin problems, and ulcers on his eyes. We contacted the shelter right away to ask if they could release him to our rescue, fully aware of the extensive medical care he would require. We are committed to doing everything in our power to nurse him back to health, both physically and mentally.

After picking him up, we quickly brought him to our veterinarian for a thorough evaluation. We conducted a senior blood panel, a comprehensive body x-ray, and a full examination. We immediately began treating his eyes and skin, anxiously hoping he wouldn't have to undergo eye surgery. Fortunately, the medication proved successful and his eyes and skin healed beautifully. As a result, his sweet personality was able to shine through.

We were all THRILLED to see his recovery, but unfortunately our foster noticed a lump under his chin that was growing quickly. Welp, back to the vet we go for testing. The cytology results came back and we found out it is a low grade mast cell tumor. While typically harmless, it is recommended to remove it as it may grow larger and has a slight chance of becoming malignant in the future.

Henry has faced numerous challenges, but we are committed to providing him with a pain-free remainder of his life. As a result, we have chosen to remove the tumor. Although Henry's medical expenses have accumulated, we believe he is worth every penny and more.
