Please help up as we celebrate our 91^st year of service to you, the residents and businesses of the Carman Fire District. We, the members of the Carman Volunteer Fire Department, are your neighbors and customers. We are highly trained volunteer professional firefighters. We respond and provide fire protection for you and yours at all hours of the day and night. Each year we donate over 12,000 man-hours to protect your life and property.

Volunteer members are the life-blood of the Fire Department. Our programs create continued interest of current members and helps us attract new members. Programs include intensive firemanic training as well as non-emergency type team building related activities. Currently we are able to maintain an adequate number of enthusiastic and well-trained firefighters. One real benefit to you is the low cost of fire insurance.

You may not be aware, but the Fire District Tax Dollars are not available or used for the Department’s non-emergency type activities. The Fire Department is a separate, non-for-profit organization and must therefore rely on fund raising to get needed income. The annual Turkey Raffle proceeds provide most of the money required for those important fire department related activities.
