Beyond the Streets: In the Community | 6th Annual Sleeping Bag Drive-By
BEYOND THE HARD HAT is proud to collaborate with Redd of ReddsButtons.com to host the Beyond the Streets: 6th Annual Sleeping Bag Drive-By fundraiser to collect sleeping bags for Atlanta's unhoused community.
Returning to its original 2020 flagship location - Peter's Street Station on December 13, 2025 - this signature community event marks its 6th year of service. The Annual Sleeping Bag Drive - By fundraiser is dedicated to raising funds AND collecting physical sleeping bag donations to empower and support unhoused individuals living throughout our local Metro-Atlanta neighborhoods.
This year, Beyond the Hard Hat is excited to join the event's creator, Nicholas "Redd" Scott Sr., to expand his reach to our unhoused neighbors in East Atlanta and on Eastside of the City (Decatur, Stone Mountain, Lithonia, etc.). We invite you to join us in increasing the impact of this cause by providing one safer night for someone in need.
Did you know? Over 3,000 people in Atlanta sleep on the street every night.
✅ How You Can Help:
- Donate or drop-off new sleeping bags for our unhoused neighbors at either of our two locations
- Provide monetary support with financial contributions to purchase sleeping bags
You can choose to donate sleeping bags, contribute funds or both - every bit makes a difference! We're here to help - not just for the night, but for the road ahead!
🎯Goal:
Collect 200 new, adult-sized, cold weather rated sleeping bags or raise $5,000 by December 13, 2025.
📆 Dates & Drop-off Locations (Two Drops, Two Locations, One Cause):
Friday, November 28, 2025 (Black Friday) - EASTSIDE
Location: TBD
Saturday, December 13, 2025 - WESTSIDE
Location: Peter's Street Station, 333 Peters Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30313
💙 Why It Matters:
Winter temperatures and extreme cold can lead to death and injury, especially for the unhoused communities. Cold weather rated sleeping bags can provide immediate relief for dangerous low temperatures - reducing the risk of hypothermia and other cold-related health issues.
Your donation of $25.00 can literally - SAVE A LIFE!!
Together, we can provide "Warmth for Today and Hope for Tomorrow"
