Imagine you're a happy go-lucky dog called "Brownie", your best friend happens to be a pig called "John Pork" and your most favorite job in the world is to keep an eye on the chickens and round them up each evening to keep them safe.

This was Brownie's life and he loved every minute of it!

That is until one day while Brownie was herding up the chickens, his world was turned upside down when someone shot him.

Brownie sought out safety and hid under the house, crying and refusing to come out, lying helpless and ready to give up. The wound was very severe. He suffered for two days before being brought to us.

We were able to stabilize Brownie and have the necessary surgery to patch him up, fitted with a drain to help healing, but he has a long road to recovery. Brownie didn’t deserve to be so violently shot, he was only doing his job, after all.

Brownie’s medical bills have exceeded $1,200 and we are asking for your support and donations to help Brownie get back to his carefree life, his friend John Pork and his favorite pastime, herding chickens for his owner.
