Pets Without Parents has been near and dear to my heart and a central part of my life for many many years now. Today I've set a $100 goal of support for this amazing organization in honor of Reggie.
Reggie was pulled from a rural county Ohio shelter. He had only known a life tied to a tree in a yard for many years. Upon arrival, more was discovered about Reggie than originally thought. Reggie had heartworm, that PWP quickly treated for him. Reggie also had behaviors that made him a very hard house-dog. Luckily, PWP problem solved for Reggie and managed his behaviors, anxieties, and found ways to keep this low-rider a happy and healthy boy for the remainder of his years. This year, Reggie developed serious symptoms quickly, likely related to probable cancer. Given that Reggie could no longer be a happy and healthy boy, staff spoiled Reggie with extra specials, took him for his last car ride, and held him while he fell asleep. Even though Reggie never had a traditional family, he had his PWP family. He had a life and people that miss him dearly.
Please help me in supporting an organization that looks at all dogs and cats that enter an individuals that deserve support and a chance at their best life. Reggie may have lived an unusual life, but it was his best.
