The Huron Music Association (HMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the entire Huron Music Department through fundraising and volunteer efforts. We are led and organized by parent volunteers. As a music student parent, you automatically become a member of the HMA. Welcome!
All funds raised go towards the music program, including continuing education for faculty, event supplies, sheet music, guest teachers and master classes, instruments, equipment, music lesson subsidies for students, and scholarships for camps and trips. Our goal is to support the music programs in having the most robust, enriching experience possible for all our students.
General Funds:
Lesson subsidies
Recordings for concerts
Awards and special events like state competitions
Improvement Projects
Equipment: chairs and stands, cello racks, bass racks, music library materials, all for classroom improvements, for concerts, and in the individual rooms
Supplements to uniforms like senior sashes
Fundraising:
Guest conductors and Commissioned pieces
Consortiums
New music and supplies
Accompanists
Instructional teachers
Instrument repairs and equipment purchases
Transportation for special events
Scholarships for Student Travel Expenses
Hospitality (food for special events)
Recognizing that HMA supports Band, Orchestra and Choir, 20% of all donations will go into the HMA General Fund.
