Our Murrieta neighbor and community volunteer, Lorraine HINSON, sadly had to say goodbye to her son, her “baby” boy, Eric GOMEZ.

Recent events led to multiple cardiac arrests which caused complete brain damage and left him in a non-responsive state for the past 3 weeks. His battle is over, and he will be laid to rest this Saturday. We all know there is nothing much harder than for a mother to lose her son – except to be unable to attend his funeral. Lorraine was hoping to return to North Carolina once again to the hospital to say her goodbyes but was not able to get a flight quickly enough, lack of funds, and Eric passed away a few days ago.

Eric's Memorial Service is set for this Saturday in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and we are hoping to finalize her plane ticket back east so she can leave this Wednesday or Thursday. This would enable Lorraine to spend some time with her daughter-in-law and granddaughters for a week together, supporting one another during this difficult period. When in Murrieta, Lorraine is a full-time caretaker to elderly relatives who are very dependent on her - but for once, hopefully this fundraiser will take care of Lorraine – helping her get at least a R/T flight so she can be with her family.

Eric GOMEZ will be missed by a loyal wife Stephanie and beautiful daughters Justina and Jenna, besides his friends and mother Lorraine. May he rest in peace knowing he is precious in God’s memory. Thank you for any donation you are able to make.
