seeing rainbows is the first 100% trans-led and operated arts organization in the Berkshires, our mission is to collaborate to build sustainable and supportive trans community by producing and presenting liberating art, performances, installations and other experiences by and for queer / trans / Jewish / BIPOC / disabled / fat / other marginalized persons, on unceded Mohican lands in the Berkshires and beyond, interacting directly with the broader community for the purpose of addressing stereotyping and stigmitization, rooted in principles of community and presence, and with a non-transactional framework.
What does all this mean?
All of our programming (unless absolutely impossible) will be pay-what-you-can / no-one-turned-away-for-lack-of-funds (PWYC/NOTAFLOF).
Our programming is by and for the trans community in partnership with our neighbors, to hold our own space and to interact with the broader community to foster social justice.
We seek to build structures of support for our local trans community, and for the many trans political refugees fleeing to our region.
Your support builds safer, and stronger trans community in the Berkshires.
