This Giving Tuesday, we will be fundraising for our IW Future Fund, which helps clients overcome financial barriers and open previously closed doors on their pathway to stability.

In the past year, the Future Fund helped about 150 of our neighbors stabilize their lives. It enabled clients to attend classes to earn a GED, purchase a phone so they can follow up on job interviews, move out of an IW shelter and into a safe home, obtain copies of their legal documents so they can start a new job, or pay off prohibitive debt so they can restart their lives.

Help us reach our goal of raising $60,000 so we can continue to open doors, together.

Interfaith Works (IW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs, and employment programs to over 35,000 residents of Montgomery County, MD, every year.

While Montgomery County, a part of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, is considered affluent, more than 72,000 residents live on incomes below the Federal poverty line.
